Join us at our Raising the Roof Virtual Event to learn more about Habitat, hear from our families, and learn about what we have been up to during the pandemic.
Evergreen Habitat for Humanity believes in a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Our mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We partner with families in Clark County, WA to build and repair homes to build strength, stability, and self-reliance.
As we continue to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve worked hard to shift to meet the needs of our families as well as maintain our current construction schedule to ensure that more families can get into their new Habitat homes. As we’ve all learned during this difficult time, home is more important now than ever. That is why we’re excited to continue the tradition of hosting our annual Raising the Roof Benefit Breakfast. The event will look different this year as we transition to an entirely virtual format. We’ve also moved the event to noon with some exciting things coming! We hope you’ll join us (online) this year for our GiveMore24! virtual Raising the Roof event!

We have some exciting things we’ll be sharing about what we have been up to during these unprecedented times. We have a few surprises in store that you won’t want to miss! RSVP on our website here. A link for the virtual event will be emailed the week of the event.
One of the exciting surprises we have in store is for the Mang Shang family. Ting and Shengraw Mang Shang came here from Burma seven years ago as refugees. They left Burma to flee from persecution from their own government. They have three children, Zungyoun who is nine, Sengpati who is seven, and Isakzung who is five. The family currently lives in a two bedroom apartment which is overcrowded for the family of five. The Mang Shang family is very active in their church community. They became citizens of the United States in 2018. When asked what made them want to become citizens, Ting said that he was proud to become an American and was happy to live where he can raise this family to be safe and provide a good life for his children.
